Information
In 1952 , Dimitris and Evangelia Tsampala founded Taverna Tsampala , a cozy ouzo place that offered traditional Greek appetizers for wine and ouzo . The Tavern, known throughout the island of Kos as " Bottles ", got this nickname from the approximately 30,000 "Peroni" beer bottles used to build the restaurant's picturesque courtyard in 1960. Tsampala Tavern has humbly served the island of Kos for over 70 years , embodying the warmth of traditional Greek hospitality . Now under the third generation, the restaurant looks forward to welcoming you and sharing its passion for delicious food with you as it will be with you for many years to come.
