The fusion of old and new at New Hotel extends to its New Taste Restaurant. Inspired by the Campana Brothers’ iconic Favela chair, ‘Favela’ columns are covered with pieces of recycled wood and furniture from the old hotel that stood before it. This artwork forms tribute to the past, reminiscent of the favelas in Brazil.
An original restaurant concept, New Taste is based on the continuous transformation of the food service areas. Guests can indulge in the best breakfast in town, soil themselves with à la carte dinner, or if pressed for time, New Taste take away for delicious delights on the go – all served with a smile.
New Taste features a Mediterranean menu focusing on simple dishes, all cooked using the finest, local organic produce whenever possible and offers fresh, high quality food, made on site in front of guests. Menus are dynamic and change frequently according to the season.
For brunch, guests can enjoy specials including ‘Eggs Benedict with Proscuito San Danielle’ or if they have a sweet tooth, perhaps a freshly baked waffle with banana, pecan nuts and butterscotch sauce. For lunch or dinner guests can delight in the likes of ‘Carpaccio of the Day’ followed by ‘Kritharoto with Squid Ink and Sautéed Langoustine’ or ‘Braised Beef Cheeks in Red Wine Sauce with Soft Polenta and Gremolata’.
The all-day restaurant also features an authentic Espresso Bar, serving delicious, organic Napolitano Passalacqua coffee along with traditional breads and pastries baked fresh in house every day, perfect for locals and guests alike.
