The name of Melina Mercouri café is dedicated to the unforgettable Melina Mercouri. Mr. Andreas, her close friend for many years and after experiencing many events during this friendship, had the deep desire, after the necessary approvals and procedures that had to be done, to "baptize" this wonderful cafe bistrot with the name her, as a small tribute. The procedures started in 1996 and finally in 1999 it started to operate. From then until today, it has hosted dozens of famous personalities from Greece and abroad, politicians, artists, businessmen. It is not about another cafe bistrot but about a meeting point of history. This is also the reason why friends from all over the world visit it. A place that connects old Athens, the history of Melina, political developments and the modern history of Greece. Just kidding . With a completely Greek style . Mr. Andreas is here to always welcome you with what is universally known as "warm Greek hospitality". Together with his son Stefanos, they create a place where one can taste delicious and modern cuisine from morning to night and if the tastes are more traditional, the sweets of the spoon make their appearance on our table and in our hearts .
