Information
Mario & Luigi The Eatalians is a welcoming and casual Italian restaurant. The Neapolitan dough , a recipe by the talented Stergios Tsagadopoulos, is baked in the impressive bronze wood- fired oven and is ideally complemented with a variety of tasty appetizers and fresh pasta that they prepare themselves, accompanied by cool salads, fine wines and delicious sweets with an Italian identity.
In the restaurant Italian songs from the 60s are playing from the speakers. The interior of the restaurant has something of a candy or lollipop. From the mosaic, the lights, and the pistachio color to the red stripe on the ceiling, they make something delicious, without the decor becoming over the top or graphic. It's the Italian you'd probably find in New York. The open kitchen is dominated by the wood-burning oven, made in Naples – the owners sought it out there and snapped it up on the spot.
The pizzas are made with slow-rising dough and feature a large rim with plenty of charring – accolades earned by the dough when baked to perfection. We recommend the Lolita, with fior di latte mozzarella and buffalo mozzarella, pistachios and mortadella. The spaghetti alla chitarra, in Antonella's dish, with shrimps and bisque sauce is wonderfully cooked, with the delicious pasta paste that hits the tooth and with a well-bound fresh sauce. Gabriella's gnocchi with melted taleggio (soft cow's cheese) and ham, what the Italians call prosciutto cotto, was a deeply delicious and utterly comforting dish that you could eat with a spoon.
