The building first functioned as a hammam opposite the impressive Nerazte Mosque with its imposing minaret, one of the largest monuments of Rethymno. For years it was a meeting point, a place of purification and beauty. And finally, in 1999 , it opened its doors to the world. Small groups at first, good Cretan tsikoudia and local traditional wine.
