The Anefani restaurant is located in Anafiotika in Plaka and offers Greek cuisine . During the Argonautic campaign, the Argonauts, to save themselves from a severe storm, asked for the help of the god Apollo, who fired a bright arrow and revealed an island where they found shelter. Thus the island of Anefani was named Anafi. In the middle of the 19th century, the Anafiotes, as well-known builders, coming to Athens for the construction of Othon's palaces, settled at the foot of the Acropolis and built the district called Anafiotika.
