The Spanos tavern in Patisia offers Greek cuisine and has a history since 1981. The tavern is known for two dishes: ribs and snails. Even today, you find them unchanged in quality and deliciousness, in the quiet of a traditional neighborhood street. The ribs are finely cut and delicious, with local meat from Northwest Greece. The snails are dipped in a sweet red sauce, a specialty of the restaurant. The menu also includes mutton, kontosouvli pork, while Mrs. Georgia, keeping her homemade recipes a secret, prepares an awesome cheese stew, aromatic pumpkin meatballs, cheese pies with a rich filling and Lefkada oil pie. On the weekends, the Agriniotiko kokoretsi is the specialty that becomes irresistible. The bright courtyard with island flooring lends itself to casual relaxation, while the conservatory is decorated with authentic folk artefacts.
