Spanos tavern in Patissia, located in a traditional neighborhood street, offers Greek cuisine and has a long history since 1981. The tavern is famous for two specialities: lamb chops and snails. Lamb chops are thinly sliced and delicious, made with local meat from Northwestern Greece. Snails are dipped in a sweet red sauce, an exclusive recipe of Spanos. The menu also includes ewe and pork, while Ms Georgia is holding as a secret all her homemade recipes... such as the cheese salad, the aromatic zucchini balls, cheese pies with rich filling and the popular oil pie from Lefkada. The bright courtyard is ideal for relaxation, while during winter the hall of the tavern is decorated with authentic folklore objects that create a traditional atmosphere.
