The new gastronomic destination of Athens Retro Gastro came and found its home in the heart of the picturesque neighborhood of Thiseio, at 19A Irakleidon - the Funky Taverna of the City. Through a fascinating journey of flavors of Andreas and Vana, which has lasted almost 4 years until now, but also the wandering of the senses in Greek vineyards, a multi-level gastronomic and at the same time artistic project Retro Gastro was born. In the area of a 2-storey neoclassical building of 1872, you will find Greek flavor palettes, designed and executed by the team of Dimitris Costopoulos and Sirios Komicheilis (the owners and cooks of the Secret Garden). Flavors that preserve the memory, from all over the territory and a list of purely Greek vineyards, culminating in the cellar, which is hidden in the basement of the space and is waiting for you to discover Greek producers with their combined proposals for you. You will also discover the well-preserved furniture - heirlooms of Adriana (their beloved Grandmother), which have been lovingly turned into a special conservator of wines and cigars (by Nikos Trivizas & the Unique Crafts workshop), the buffet of the time for the staff, as well as the favorite velvet sofa that adorns the cellar.
