Fine Mess Smokehouse brings low & slow barbecue to Athens!   The journey of twenty-one thousand kilometers across thirty-nine States in the US inspired Pavlina Thanopoulou, Dennis & Costis Bastias to design an original gastronomic experience that celebrates the philosophy of authentic barbecue.   Custom-made smokers are used to smoke in seasoned beech wood exceptional meats, as found in the barbecue of the American South, as well as cheeses, fish and seafood. Chef Elena Kaperda creatively  brings together barbecue tradition with modern-day gastronomy. The restaurant’s signature dish is Black Angus Brisket, smoked over 10 hours, served with topinambur pureé and beef gravy.   The menu is impressive, full of exciting options, whilst at the same time remains casual and friendly, true to the original barbecue culture of Fine Mess.   At 73rd Skoufa St., the welcoming, chic space with its modern aesthetic invites you from early in the day to enjoy Lunch and Dinner. Fine Mess also features a full Bar with a strong focus on bourbon and old-fashioned cocktails, and it offers an intriguing selection of New World wines.
