On the street of Anastasiou Zinni in Koukaki, is the Factory of Efrosynos, a unique restaurant with a Cyrillic inscription that hosts in its dishes 50 small producers from all over Greece. Here you can enjoy excellent wine and discover flavors that highlight the freshness of the raw materials.
The Efrosynos Factory is a bold and handmade shop. Many of the irons that were used in the space from a previous use were recycled in a creative way by Giorgos Gatsos and his colleagues. The wine list is edited by Athina Tsoli , an oenologist with studies in Greece and France. Among the wine labels you will find many "diamonds" from Greek wine production, at excellent prices, as well as natural wines with little intervention, offering an opportunity to discover native varieties of the place.
Giorgos Gatsos is the creator behind "Efrosynos Factory," having acquired his "cooking apprenticeship" alongside Saint monks. Its cuisine is influenced by the cuisine of Agios Georgios and is famous for the high quality of the meat it offers, such as the grilled liver, beef ribs and lamb in the carcass and the burger with minced beef and lamb. However, his kitchen respects fasting periods and carefully selects its fish from Lefkada fishermen. The result is dishes such as scorpionfish and cod served steamed in crayfish broth and cuttlefish cooked in its ink.
Finally, in addition to the fixed list, there is also a list that is formed according to the seasonal materials on the market. Based on the power of clean materials, the open kitchen uses organic raw materials from producers from all over Greece. The main dishes exude real flavors, connected to the roots of tradition.
