Alficon is the new restaurant in Pagrati where two young but very talented chefs decided to present us the new Greek cuisine. Dimitris Zymba and Nikos Vorgias want to highlight modern Greek cuisine through Alficon, freed from the ideology that prevails around the gastronomic scene of Greece.
Alficon, a name inspired by the barley (alfi) and the icons that will decorate the restaurant, focuses on the combination of food and drink. In collaboration with small local producers, throughout Greece, it aims to highlight the pure Greek flavors and the presentation of natural Greek wines.
Among the dishes that the chefs choose to recommend are the asparagus soup with tartar comb, gnocchi cream cheese and pancetta mousse, millet croquette with handmade smoked cold cuts and tomato jam, lobster in a crust of beef brisket and buttermilk hours with celery root and bones in mavrodafni. Vino di Sasso (Sklavos), Tsaprounakos (Vogiatzis) and Mavro Kalavrytino Natur are some of the wines that are worth accompanying your meal in Alficon .
