Information
Adespoto Mousiki Taverna in the Old City of Chania offers cretan cuisine. It is housed in an old mansion, demolished by a bomb during the war of '40. Without specific interventions, the building turned into an idyllic space of stone and wood, a courtyard full of plants, flowers and sounds, so the customers could enjoy recipes based on the freshest ingredients from the Chania. The owners using their extra virgin olive oil to cook daily the most delicious homemade speciailties. Try lamb kebab, myzithra croquettes (fresh goat cheese croquettes with herbs), snails with rosemary and cretan vinegar, smoked Chicken souvlaki with cherry tomatoes, graviera cheese and basil sauce, grilled pork fillet (marinated in wild herbs, with baked potato and grape mollases sauce), chicken cillet with sundried tomato and peppers, served with sauteed vegetables, feta and basil sauce, pork escalope with sauteed vegetables and staka (cretan goat milk cream sauce). Famous raki, fine wine and live music with melodies from around the world are the basic ingredients of a wonderful meal at the Adespoto Mousiki Taverna.
