Fanos tis Polis in Thessaloniki started its operation in 2010 as a special restaurant with national cuisine . It is located at the foot of Mount Paikos and was created by three women from Kilkis, who were inspired by their roots in Izmir, to enrich a space reminiscent of an old home with traditional Civic Kitchen . The menu includes recipes from gifted grandmothers, originally from Izmir, which is why they are unique and extremely delicious.
Try the amazing meatballs and soutzoukaki, which are made to perfection, as well as handmade pastrami pie, veal cheeks, bochtsadaki politika, snails, steamed mussels and crab meat with eggs. Today, the granddaughter Eftychia - the cook of the Fanos & Fanos restaurants in Polis continues with respect, the traditional cuisine adding her own modern touches. The past and the present are married by creating culinary specialties.
